Description

A tone that rises forever and never gets higher: a Shepard-Risset glissando, the classic auditory illusion. Hold a key and it climbs, about an octave every 4 s, round and round. One voice; the key sets where the spiral turns (its centre). No formulas: all modules.

Macros: 1 Speed: how fast it climbs, up to about an octave a second. 2 Bright: the fixed low-pass, from dark to open. 3 Swirl: the phaser's feedback and depth. 4 Space: more of the plate and the echoes.

Try: for an endless fall, set both Pitch attenuverters' gains to -0.4 and their offsets to +2 V; the Voices' outputs to Tri (out 1) for a purer, more classic Shepard tone (Saw, out 2, sounds richer but beats).
